The Traveling Exhibit, Two Major Showing Collections
Two shows in Mrs. Fisher’s scrapbooks have been recorded more fully, and allow us to see a fuller picture of this initiative: the Lewisburg’s Civic Center of November 1955 and the Boston Store Show of May 1962.
Lewisburg’s Civic Center at the Lewisburg Hotel, held November 18-19, 1955
The show was a two-day event in the hotel’s lounge from November 18th to 19th, and admission was free to the public. However, a donation card was available, whose funds would go to supplying the club’s health and welfare funds.

The exhibit’s fundraising efforts were a success as revealed by one of the congratulatory letters sent to Fisher following the showing in Lewisburg.
Another well recognized exhibit in Mrs. Fisher's collection and scrapbooks is the showing at The Boston Store.
The Boston Store, Held May 10-12, 1962
Another major event and exhibit that Mrs. Fisher held was in 1962, when she showed the Dollhouse at her father’s store, Fowler, Dick, and Walker, or the Boston Store. The event was a three-day showing in 1962 held from May 10-12.

On the left depicts a group of women at the Boston Store showing in 1962, as we can tell by the pictured Boston Store Flyer, depicted on the right, in the bottom right corner of the photograph. The showing was a fundraiser for three hospitals, the Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Wilkes Barre General Hospital, and the Wyoming Valley Hospital. The date has been ascertained by a letter of thanks from the Nesbitt hospital staff following the receipt of the donation, dated 1962 May 18.

Who could imagine that such a tiny house would make such a great impact? Though it may have started as a hobby, Mrs. Fisher would turn her miniatures into magic and build a major fundraising effort for local hospitals and non-profit groups.
