Description
This is a printed publication issue of the Alumnus paper for the ceremony starting construction of the Stark Science Hall on June 4th, 1956. The article details the ceremony in its entirety, from the first shovelful of dirt and speeches to more of the background on why it was being erected in the first place. Being named in honor of Admiral Stark for his part in the creation of Wilkes College as well as donations to the establishment, including his former home of Chase Hall, the building’s construction began the same day.
