O GOD, OUR HEIP IN AGES PAST
O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,

Our shelter from the stormy blast
And our eternal home.

of Thy throne
Thy saints have dwelt secure;
Sufficient is Thine arm alone,
And our defense is sure.
U.pder the shadow

Before the hills in order stood,
Or earth received her frame.
From everlasting Thou art God,
To endless years the same.

A thousand

ages in Thy sight
Are like an ev-ening gone;
Short as the watch that ends the nisht
Before the rising sun.

Time, like an ever-rolling stream
Bears all its sons away;
They fly, forgotten as a dream g
Dies at the openinc day.
O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Be Thou our Guide while life shall last,
And our eternal home.

Of shining worlds in splendor thro'the skies,
Our gratefulsongs before Thy throne arise.
:

Thy love divine hath lead us in the past;
ln this free land by Thee our lot is cast;
Be Thou our Ruler, Guardian, Guide and Stay,
Thy Word our law, Thy paths our chosen way.
From war's alarms, {rom deadly pestilence,
Be Thy strong arm our ever sure defence;

Refresh Thy peo_ple on their toilsome way;

JOYFUL, JOYFUL, WE ADORE THEE
Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee,
God of glory, God of love;
Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee,
Opening to the sun above.
Milt the clouds of sin and sadness,
Drive the dark of doubt away;
Giver of immortal gladness,
Fill us with the light of day.

All Thy works with joy surround Thee,
Earth and heaven refleet'fhy rays,
Stars and angels sing arbund Thee,
Center of unbroken praise.
Field and forest, vale and mountain,
Flowery meadow, flashing sea,
Chanting bird and flowing fountain,
Call us to rejoice in Thee.
Mortals,

join the huppy

chorus

Which the morning stars began;
Father love is reigning o'er us,
Brother love binds man to man.
Ever singing, march we onward,
Victors in the midst of strife,
Joyful music leads us Sunward
In the triumph song of life.

FOR THE BEAUTY OF THE EARTH
For the beauty of the earth;
For the glory of the skies.;
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies:
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise.

For the wonder ofeach hour
Of the day and of the night,
Hill and vale and tree and flower,
Sun and moon, and stars of light:
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise.

For the joy of human love,
Brother, sister, parent, child,
Friends on earth, and friends above;
For all gentle thoughts and mild:
Lord of all to Thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise.

AMERICA, THE BEAUTIFUL
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! Americi! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet,
Whose stern, impassion'd stressA thorough fare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness !
America! America! God mend thine ev'ry flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful for heroes prov'd
In liberating strife,
Who more ihan self their country lov'd,
And mercy more than life!
America! America! May God thy gold refine,
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev'ry gain divine!

AT EIGHT

O'CLOCK

AMERICA, THE BEAI.]TIFUL
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet,
Whose stern, impassion'd stressA thorough fare for freedom beat
Acrois the wilderness !
Amirica! America! God mend thine ev'ry flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful for heroes prov'd
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country lov'd,
And mercy more than life!
America! America! May God thy gold refine,
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev'ry gain divine!

AMERICA, THE BEAUTTFUL

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain !

! America ! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea !
America

O beautiful for pilgrim feet,
Whose stern, impassiontd stressA thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness !
America ! America ! God mend thine ev'ry flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,

Thy liberty in

law

I

O beautiful for heroes prov'd
In liberating strife )
Who more than self their country lov'd,
And mercy more than life !
America ! America ! May God thy gold refine,
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev'ry gain divine !

AT EIGHT O'CLOCK

AMERICA, THE BEATITIFUL
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! Americi! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet,
Whose stern, impassion'd stressA thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness !
America! America! God mend thine ev'ry flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful for heroes prov'd
In liberating strife,
Who more ihan self their country lov'd,
And mercy more than life!
America! America! May God thy gold refine,
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev'ry gain divine!
