Description
Sharon Bowar: Recent Prints and Paintings featured original prints and paintings the artist and Professor of Art at Wilkes University produced during her first sabbatical awards in Italy, France and Spain, and consecutive travel for exhibiting her work and teaching abroad. Many works were created en-plein air (on site) in renowned locations such as the Boboli Gardens in Florence, sacred structures in Assisi, ancient paper mills in Amalfi, fishing ports in Sardinia, Corsica, and Marseille, the environs of Aix-en-Provence, and painting collections in Madrid, Spain The exhibition was curated by Karen Kaufer, Director Sordoni Art Gallery.
